Requirements:

1. ACTUAL PASSPORT

You must submit your actual passport. The visa will be stamped on a page in your passport. Your passport must have at least six months of validity left beyond your intended stay in Cameroon, and must have at least one completely blank visa page. 2. TWO VISA APPLICATIONS FOR CAMEROON

Click here to download Visa Application Form for Cameroon. Application must be TYPED. Handwritten applications will not be accepted by the embasssy. Fully complete two copies of visa application and sign the form.

3. TWO PHOTOGRAPHS

Submit two professional 2″ x 2″ color passport photos. Snapshots, photocopies and computer pictures are not accepted. Photos must be:

  • Taken within six months to reflect your current appearance;
  • Taken in full-face front view directly facing the camera. Full face must be visible. Head must be centered and not tilted;
  • Do not wear eyeglasses in the photo;
  • Clear. Blurry, underexposed, overexposed and low quality photos are not accepted;
  • With a plain white or off-white background;
  • With a neutral facial expression and both eyes open.

4. FLIGHT ITINERARY

Computer generated flight itinerary from the airline or travel agency, or copy of airline tickets. Non-refundable tickets or reservations should not be purchased until visa and passport are secured and in your possession.

5. PROOF OF LODGING

Copy of hotel confirmation valid for the expected duration of stay.

6. YELLOW FEVER VACCINATION

Provide a photocopy of international certificate of vaccination against yellow fever.

7. PROOF OF SUFFICIENT FUND

Provide evidence of sufficient fund to support your stay. Example: copy of most recent bank statement with account number blacked out.

8. VISITING FAMILY OR FRIENDS IN CAMEROON

Applicants visiting family or friends in Cameroon, please provide one or more of the following:

  • Certificate of Accommodation (valid for expected duration of stay) issued by the inviting party, and undersigned by territorially competent Administrative, Immigration or Police Authorities.
  • Legalized acceptance letter for an internship program for interns, or legalized confirmation letter for a volunteering opportunity in Cameroon for volunteers, the exact duration of stay should be explicitly mentioned on the acceptance or confirmation letters.
  • Proof of marital and parental relationship respectively for a spouse or a child of a Cameroonian citizen, or a U.S citizen of Cameroonian origin (examples: copy of a marriage license or birth certificate, copy of spouse or parents passport or birth certificate, any combination of documents permitting to establish the relationship).

9. MINORS

Extra documents required for minors traveling to Cameroon:

  • Notarized letter of support jointly signed by both parents or legal guardians agreeing with the trip and specifying who will be traveling with the child.
  • If parents or guardians are Cameroonians, provide original passport(s) and copy of immigration document(s) attesting of their residency status in the U.S. (e.g. green card, I-20 form for students, any set of documents justifying that a procedure of adjustment of status is in progress).
  • If parents or guardians are not Cameroonians, provide copy of passport pages bearing photo and validity information.
  • This applies to any third party taking a child to Cameroon on behalf of the parents.

Please provide a U.S. Postal money order made payable to “Embassy of Cameroon”.

Embassy of Cameroon accepts visa applications on Wednesdays and Fridays only. Processing time commences from the day the application has been submitted to the embassy. Saturdays, Sundays, embassy scheduled holidays, and mailing do not count as a processing day.

4. BUSINESS LETTER

Letter from employer on company letterhead introducing the applicant, indicating the applicant's employment status and position held in the company, and clearly stating purpose of visit. The business letter must also indicate who will be financially responsible for the applicant and must provide detailed contact information in Cameroon.

5. LETTER OF INVITATION

A letter of Invitation from the host Company in Cameroon is required, the exact duration of stay, place of stay and hosts name and contact information should be explicitly mentioned on the invitation. The letter must be legalized by the local immigration or police authorities.
